Mumbai Indians disappoint vs Kings X1 Punjab in IPL-3 T20 cricket league match as Duminy proves unlucky for the Mumbai Indians again
April 9, 2010
Mumbai Indians lost badly to Kings X1 Punjab (KXIP)- Duminy was probably the “Panvati” factor again!
Mumbai Indians 154/9 off 20 overs (Sachin 29, Duminy 35) lost to Kings X1 Punjab (KXIP)-Duminy at fault?
One cant help but blame Duminy for the Mumbai Indians defeat vs Kings X1 Punjab IPL-3 T20 cricket match. No personal fault of Duminy, but Duminy’s presence seems to spark a collapse in the Mumbai Indians batting team in the IPL
Mumbai Indians batting collapses vs Kings X1 Punjab – the only reason for the Mumbai Indians batting failure could be Duminy’s presence
In a humourous vein, it can be argued statistically that every time Duminy plays for the Mumbai Indians IPL cricket team, the Mumbai Indians has collapsed spectacularly and left Duminy to attempt to do the rescue act
It was no different in the Mumbai Indians match vs the Kings X1 Punjab IPL-3 cricket team. Duminy was drafted in to replace an injured Dwayne Bravo, but Duminy had to don the “rescue hat” again as the Mumbai Indians tottered precariously at 95/5. Jean Paul Duminy has never been spectacular for the Mumbai Indians but his dogged approach even in a T20 cricket match got the Mumbai Indians IPL-3 cricket team to a score of 154/8 off 20 overs
Mumbai Indians realized that a score of 154 is not defendable even against the Kings X1 Punjab IPL-3 cricket team
The Kings X1 Punjab IPL-3 cricket team is definitely not one of the best cricket teams in the IPL, but a target score of 155 runs is gettable even by KXIP. Led by Barath and Jayawardene’s aggressive batting display, the KXIP IPL-3 cricket team coasted to an easy win against the Mumbai Indians IPL cricket teamSangakarra and Yuvraj later joined the fun as the Mumbai Indians lost to KXIP easily
The lesson for the Mumbai Indians IPL cricket team from this defeat vs KXIP- dont select Duminy:-)

Dont worry- I am sure the Mumbai Indians will pick up their form and win IPL-3. Given a 14 game cricket league-form will definitely dip at some point. The key is to win the finals!

Yes.. it does look like the Mumbai Indians have a great chance of winning the finals. Wasn’t it amazing to see Sachin Tendulkar thrash Shane Watson? http://www.mumbaiindian.com/sachintendulkar-mivsrr
