Sachin Tendulkar and his importance for the Mumbai IPL team

What Sachin Tendulkar means for the Mumbai Indians IPL team franchise

Sachin TendulkarSachin Tendulkar hopes to play a full IPL season for the Mumbai Indians IPL franchise in 2009. Last year, an injured Sachin Tendulkar ‘s presence in the Mumbai IPL team was limited to the last few matches of the IPL cricket tournament

If there is an IPL 2009, Sachin Tendulkar ‘s fans will hope that Sachin will play the entire T20 cricket tournament for the Mumbai Indians IPL team

The Sachin Tendulkar – Sanath Jayasurya opening batting combination for the Mumbai Indians will be a treat to watch

Sachin Tendulkar and Sanath Jayasurya have been batting icons for India and Sri Lanka for such a long time that one dreads the day when both batting superstars will hang up their cricketing boots. But, the IPL 2 T20 cricket tournament offers an unique opportunity to see Sachin and Sanath clobber the opposing fast bowlers>

Sachin Tendulkar ‘s deft touches off Brett Lee above first slip along with Sanath Jayasurya ‘s sledge hammer over mid wicket will be a once in a lifetime batting spectacle that cannot be missed

Sachin Tendulkar ‘s current great form bodes well for the Mumbai Indians IPL cricket team in IPL2 T20 season

Spot on. Tendulkar..Sachin Tendulkar is in rollicking form – his recent batting exploits for the Indian cricket team in the India Vs New Zealand one day international cricket tournament make it clear that Sachin still has a lot of batting in him

Sachin ‘s great current form will ensure that the Mumbai Indians fans at last get to see the real Sachin play in the IPL T20 cricket tournament. Some critics as usual suggest that Sachin Tendulkar is not the right person for the T20 cricket format, but Sachin is sure to respond to them in his usual way- with his bat!

Sachin Tendulkar does not have a great record in T20 cricket for India or the IPL for the Mumbai Indians cricket team. The IPL 2 2009 season is a perfect opportunity for Sachin to stamp his authority on T20 cricket just as he has done in Test and one day international cricket

Will Sachin Tendulkar continue to captain the Mumbai Indians IPL cricket team

Sachin Tendulkar has relinquished captaincy of the Indian cricket team in all forms of cricket. The pressure of being Sachin and also the captain of the Indian cricket team , especially the off-field distractions, has seen Sachin make it clear that he is not interested in leading the cricket team

Surely, given a chance, Sachin Tendulkar will be keen of even relinquishing the captaincy of the Mumbai IPL cricket team. But the absence of a clear successor in the Mumbai Indians IPL team, may lead him to persist for some time in the captaincy role, at least for the IPL 2 2009 cricket season

In the IPL ‘s inaugural edition , the Mumbai Indians experimented with Harbhajan Singh and Shaun Pollock as the captain, but it is clear that a long term captain preferably from Mumbai, is needed to substitute Sachin as captain of the Mumbai IPL cricket team

One reason to really hope the IPL2 cricket season happens is to see Sachin Tendulkar at his best for the Mumbai Indians at the D.Y. Patil cricket stadium

Yes..Sachin did play extraordinarily well. Sachin Tendulkar is easily the best in the world in all forms of cricket- test,one-day internationals and even T20 cricket. He did demonstrate his class for the Mumbai Indians in the inaugural Mumbai Indians Vs Chennai Superkings cricket match of IPL2009

You are right of course..Sachin is incomparable. I really enjoyed his batting against the Rajasthan Royals cricket team-it was Sachin at his best!

Sure, just enjoy Sachin Tendulkar ‘s batting as long as it lasts. Though we would like Sachin Tendulkar to continue for ever, he is probably going to retire in the next 2-3 years. Hope Sachin lands the Mumbai Indians at least two IPL trophies by then

Now mubai clash with bangalore in semis and will win and go in to final and win tropy first time in ipl iii . match is also in mumbai so advantage goes to mumbai.

A win for Mumbai Indians vs Bangalore RCB in the IPL-3 semifinals seems likely. However, the Mumbai Indians will have to guard against the wily Anil Kumble, the greatest bowler that India have ever seen (with apologies to Kapil Dev). The Mumbai Indians should probably play out Anil Kumble, by taking singles off his bowling. Hope Shikhar Dhawan returns to the opening slot along with Sachin. However, knowing the crunch situation of a IPL semifinals, Sachin Tendulkar may be tempted to give yet another chance to Sanath Jayasuriya in the IPL-3 semifinals vs Bangalore Royal Challengers (RCB)

Got something to say?
